Day 4 - Sunday, Oct. 4, Missoula, MT
Being next to a university has had an interesting effect on me. You see, I’m a bit of an education junky. A bit! When it usually takes about 180 college credits, by the time I graduated with my bachelor’s degree, I had 400 college credits accumulated from seven institutions of higher learning. So, as I walked past the University of Montana on my explore, I felt a distinct lure. I shoved it down and hurried past.
Jennipha had noted on one of the maps of Missoula she gave me that the Montana Museum of Art and Culture (MMAC) was within walking distance. As my walking buddies Barbara, Daphne, Tamara, Jane, Paul and Vickie know, my walking distance has been pretty limited of late. Usually, less than 1800 steps (2000 is about a mile for my short legs). Today, I registered 6363 steps on my walking app, 2000 of which was to the closed-on-Sundays-and-Mondays MMAC.
Backtracking 4 blocks, I caught the free bus to town and walked around. I went into an art gallery for James Corwin, who is quite a talented wild animal realist painter. Lunch was at Basal, a choose your vegetables and protein we’ll make them into a tasty meal kind of place. Just what I needed!
Since buses are rarer on Sunday and I have used up my walking allotment, Jennipha was kind enough to give me a ride. We got to talking and I mentioned my failure to find a renter for a room in my home. She uses the same app and offered to help me improve my listing and gave me a plethora of other helpful suggestions.
Jennipha is a fascinating person, so I am going to learn a new skill of recording an interview which I’ll post on the People I Met page.

Yeah! Found you!
